Burning Black (1v1 scenario)

Sector Nivarra is a graveyard of forgotten industry, and nowhere is that more evident than the ruins of Refinery Theta-29. Once a vital link in the Promethium supply chain, it burned out decades ago in a catastrophic overload. Firestorms gutted the facility, melting steel and flesh alike. The flames eventually died, but they left behind a toxic swamp—an oozing sprawl of sludge, oil, and chemical rot.

Now the refinery lies half-submerged in its own filth, walls corroded and gantries slick with black residue. But something valuable was left behind. Maybe a buried cache, a sealed tank still pressurized, or a data core fused into the slag. Whatever it is, your gang needs it—and so does a rival crew hot on your heels.

The sludge is thick, the air acidic, and the footing treacherous. Filters clog, boots sink, and one wrong step could mean a chemical bath worse than any bullet. But time is short, and the waste is eating through your gear faster than you’d like to admit.

Get in. Grab what you can. Get out—if you can.

**BATTLEFIELD TYPE**

Underhive. Vehicles and Wargear that grant the Mounted condition may not be used.

**BATTLEFIELD**

4x4 board with 3 Promethium Waste zones (8 inch black felt spills). Players take turns placing the waste zones. Place 2 Loot Crates in each waste zone.

**CREWS**

Custom Selection (10 fighters).

**TACTICS CARDS**

2 each random

**DEPLOYMENT**

Corner deployment, 6" in, opposite each other. 

**ENDING THE BATTLE**

After 6 rounds, or one gang has no Standing fighters.

**VICTORY**

Gang that escapes with the most Loot Crates (carried off their board edge).

**REWARDS**

SPECIAL EFFECT

Any fighter starting their turn in a waste zone must take an Initiative check or be Gunked (see Gunked condition).

CREDITS

Each loot crate: D3x10 credits.

**EXPERIENCE**

+1 XP for taking part.

+1 XP per loot crate extracted.

+1 XP for each fighter still Standing.

**REPUTATION**

+2 for winning. -1 for losing. +1 if opponent is from a different house.
